Description

Sidamo is where Ethiopian coffee tradition truly shines. This medium roast captures everything special about one of Africa's most celebrated coffee regions. The beans tell a story of high-altitude growing, careful processing, and flavors that have made Ethiopian coffee famous worldwide

Taste Guide

First Impression: Caramel sweetness and ripe mango aromatics.

The Cup: Smooth chocolate forms the base, balanced by bright citrus acidity. Honey sweetness runs through every sip, while tropical fruit notes add complexity.

The Finish: Clean and lingering, with no bitter aftertaste.

Body: Medium weight, perfectly balanced. Delicious black or with milk.

Sourcing

Sidamo grows between 1,500 and 2,200 meters above sea level in southern Ethiopia, where cool mountain air and volcanic soil create perfect conditions.

Our beans come from smallholder farms using natural processing, where coffee cherries dry in the sun with the fruit still on the bean. This traditional method takes patience but rewards you with naturally sweet, fruit-forward flavors. We work directly with farming cooperatives, ensuring fair prices and sustainable practices.

Speciality

Medium roasting brings out Sidamo's character without covering it up. Natural processing gives these beans their signature wine-like qualities and berry notes.

100% Arabica from a single origin means consistent quality and traceable sourcing. Small-batch roasting in Saudi Arabia ensures your coffee arrives at peak flavor.

How To Prepare

Espresso: Pull a shot at 25-30 seconds for sweet, syrupy espresso with excellent crema.

Pour Over: Medium grind, 93°C water, 3-minute brew time highlights clarity and bright notes.

French Press: Coarse grind, 4-minute steep brings fuller body and pronounced chocolate notes.

Home Coffee Makers: Standard drip machines work great. Use 15-17 grams per 250ml of water.

Pro Tip: Grind just before brewing for maximum freshness.

Why This Coffee

Choose Sidamo when you want to experience what makes Ethiopian coffee legendary. The bright acidity wakes up your palate without being harsh, while the smooth body energizes without overwhelming.

If you've only tried commercial coffee before, Sidamo will show you what specialty-grade actually means. For espresso bars and cafes, this origin creates signature drinks customers remember. For home brewers, it's versatile enough to experiment with while always delivering quality. This is coffee worth slowing down for.
